We got so lucky with last year’s Thanksgiving entry that we didn’t even bother looking for one this year. We also recommend 2006’s posting, since the national media has suddenly become terrified of those turkey processing plants that haunt our country. Like most of America, we’re taking a vacation for the holiday, with regular postings resuming on Tuesday, December 2nd.

Let’s also note that the biopic Milk will be opening in theaters over the holiday weekend. There’s nothing conservative about director Gus Van Sant’s tribute to San Francisco’s first openly gay elected official. It’s still nice to enjoy the hypocrisy of the film. Dan White—the fellow city official who assassinated Harvey Milk and San Francisco mayor George Moscone—remains the only murderer who Leftists actually disdain for attempting a ludicrous defense in court. Gus Van Sant now wants you to know that White’s madness was encouraged by the insane hatred of outspoken pop vocalist Anita Bryant. How much longer, asks Milk, will the American Left allow dissenting political viewpoints to be expressed?
