There are a few reasons that RightWingTrash is reformatting instead of retiring. For example, several people made the case for how it didn’t make sense to give up on a site that had any kind of readership. Considering my modest audience, there must be some desperately lonely sites out there. Also, when presented with my thoughts about the planned new site, people had the annoying habit of pointing out that I would still be writing about a lot of right-wing trash. At the very least, I’d be writing about trashy pop culture where Leftist banalities wouldn’t be taken for granted.

And so RightWingTrash will now carry on in a chattier fashion (notice the use of the first person, for example) and no set schedule for postings. This might end up leading to more entries, in the tradition of what W.W. Bright referred to as The Natural Orneriness of Things. It still seems wrong to post on weekends, though.

If you really need to start reading a new site, Karol Sheinin just announced that she’s looking to start another one now that she’s recapped her honeymoon on her wedding blog. Maybe the next one will be about recipes! James Lileks could use some new photos for his next book.
